2020 has been a write off of a year. Yet we have stuck together and worked our way through it as best as we could.
There has been financial concerns, deppresion from chronic illness. Even time in lockdown has brought pressures on our relationships. If I have learned one thing it is that conscious awareness needs to remain at the centre of my life.
The triplets have really tested us this year, and its also been difficult for them being stuck in the house getting cabin fever.
Contracting Covid-19 was the icing on the cake. We are still experiencing mild symptoms like headaches and breathlessness. We still have no sense of taste or smell. Hopefully it won’t last much longer and we can enjoy food again.
It’s a year we’ll be glad to see the back of and I’m sure we are all praying for a better 2021.
I will be starting the new year without expectations. They tend to be little more than reasons to resent when they don’t materialize. One day at a time is going to be my approach. With so much uncertainty it is all the more reason to deal with life in the moment.
I hope you are all safe and well during this pandemic. I hope you had a good Christmas and wish you all the best for the new year.
